Overview
The King’s College allots students $10.00 in printing dollars (or 200 pages at $0.05 per page) per semester they are actively enrolled as an on-campus student. These funds can be used for print jobs and copy jobs. Upon reaching their quota, students will be denied the ability to print until they submit a cash paymentStudent Printing Account
Students may print from any computer connected to the campus network by navigating in their web browser to http://printing.tkc.edu. On the login page they should enter their TKC username (email address without @tkc.edu at the end) and email password.In order to safeguard against lost passwords, students should register security questions at https://changemypassword.tkc.edu by choosing the “Edit My Profile” option. If a student forgets or needs to change their password, they may go to this site in their web browser when connected to the campus network and set a new password by providing their username and correctly answering the security questions they set up.
Printers Available To Students
There are two printers and one copier available to students, and are both located in the campus library. These printers only print in black and white. Using the Student Printing Portal at http://printing.tkc.edu, students may upload the document they wish to print and select the printer they would like to print their document on.The only file types that may be uploaded are
Refunds
Refunds for print jobs will only be provided upon the following circumstances: There is an error in the actual device that causes the document to be illegible. Please note that because color printers are not provided to students any images should be optimized for grayscale printing before uploading the print job to http://printing.tkc.edu.Refunds will not be provided: (1) if a student mistakenly chooses to print multiple copies of a document, (2) if a student uploads a different document than they intended to print, (3) or for any reason that is deemed as user error rather than a malfunction of the print setup on campus.
Upon encountering such an error, students should notify the library attendant to verify the malfunction and the librarian should submit a ticket to helpdesk@tkc.edu noting the error, the name of the student, the machine in which the error occurred, the date/time of the occurrence and any other relevant information in order to re-credit the student’s printing account. This request may take up to 24 hours and email confirmation will be sent to the student and librarian noting when the refund is given.
